- The patented laser guided drill.
- The laser shines in exactly the opposite dirrection of the drill bit.
- Accurate to 1/4 degree.
- Absolutely invaluable for any on site drilling, as it proved in each of the projects pictured on the left.
- The laser guide instructions to follow match up with the bottom picture.
- Mark the center point for each hole to be drilled.
- Place a 1/2" diameter drill bit into the drill.
- Put the drill point on one center point as you shine the laser at the opposite point of entry.
- Drill the 1/2" hole to the necessary depth.
- Repeat the process for each hole.
- For angled holes such as with a stairway, start the full size hole with a hole saw that is fitted with a 1/2" diameter smooth shaft follower. Example: for a 2 1/4" hole, start with a 2 1/4" hole saw to keep the more aggresive bit from chipping out a big chunk of wood.
- Using a sharp Milwaukee self feed bit fitted with a "brazed in" 9/16" diameter fine thread lead screw, drill the hole to full depth.
